Gabi & The Fly is a new heavy metal project led by Calgary vocalist Gabriella Lindland and Los Angeles-based musician Matt Montgomery, professionally known as Piggy D. Built on crushing riffs and harsh vocals,

Gabi and The Fly brings together Gabi’s background in Calgary’s heavscene with Montgomery’s long-standing career in horror-driven rock and metal. Before launching the project, Gabi cut her teeth performing in numerous local bands across sludge metal, crust punk, and grind, developing a vocal style rooted in force and raw physical presence. and Matt brings decades of experience in heavy music, known for his 18-year run as bassist for Rob Zombie, along with his work with Wednesday 13, Amen, Alice Cooper, The Haxans, and Marilyn Manson.

Together they push into heavier territory, pulling from extreme music, industrial tension, and punishing, riff-forward songwriting. With the release of their first demo ‘Initiation of Decay’, Gabi & The Fly offer an early look at the project’s sound as they continue developing material for their debut album.
